Nature has given so much to me. Here are a few reasons why I like giving back to others.

Finding Peace in Nature: My Inspiration
In 2017 I unexpectedly lost my mother following an operation in hospital. Losing her really affected me and as a result, my mental health was severely impacted. I was having regular suicidal thoughts and couldn't see a way to move on.
I started to blame the world for my problems until I discovered nature. I truly believe hiking saved me from my darkest times.
I started by setting myself the challenge to climb Snowdon, and I raised £3000.00 for the Welsh Air Ambulance Service. It is from here my love for the outdoors has grown and that I set up my business to help and support other people so they can enjoy exploring the mountains safely.

Christmas National Three Peaks Challenge raises £4742 after friend fell from plylon sustaining life changing injuries
In 2022 a good friend of mine was sadly involved in an accident at work, falling from an electricity pylon which left him in a coma for two months, and paralysed with life-changing injuries. Gav went to live back with his parents but was unable to live independently without the right equipment installed in their home.
I decided to raise funds to cover the costs by completing the National 3 Peaks Challenge over Christmas. You can check out the full story by clicking the button below.
Snowdonia Clean Up Mission
Snowdon holds a special place in my heart. It was the first mountain I climbed after losing my mother.
Snowdon is the busiest peak in North Wales, and litter has always been a problem. The mountains pulled me through grief and a lot of mental depression and so I want to lead by example by organising regular clean-up campaigns.
I want to inspire people not to moan about litter, but to get a bag, clean it up and make a difference.
Cloud Inversion on Mount Snowdon
In December 2021, North Wales experienced some bizarre weather due to the unusual atmospheric conditions across the region.
I was lucky enough to experience it and the photo I took of the cloud inversion above was published by North Wales Live.
The cloud inversion was one of the most impressive sights I had ever seen.
Sport Thought Interview
I decided to form my business 'Exploring Snowdonia & North Wales' in a mission to help other people improve their mental health through the benefits of ecotherapy. I began hiking as a way to heal my grief after losing my mother in 2017.
Since then, I have raised thousands of pounds for charity and led many guided walks, allowing people to achieve their own personal goals and enjoy the mountains in a safe way.
I self-funded my own training to become a qualified Mountain Leader as well as completing my Mountain First Aid Qualification.

Group Hikes on Christmas Day to Combat Loneliness & Raise Money for Mental Health
Myself and a group of friends arranged hikes on Christmas Day to bring people together who would otherwise be spending Christmas alone. Hikes took place in Snowdonia, the Lake District and the Peak District and we all well attended with lots of money raised in aid of supporting mental health.
Fundraising for Luke, a Quadruple Amputee after Contracting Meningitis
We are raising funds for Luke, to help with the purchase of specialist medical equipment and prosthetics required to help him perform every day tasks. Unfortunately the equipment provided by the NHS doesn't fully meet Luke's needs so we are required to purchase them privately.
